we’ve seen before how much does it cost to run a hot tub — and it certainly isn’t the cheapest appliance in your home.
Luckily, one person who already has one shared some tips for saving money:
“I thought I would share my experience. I bought an adapter for some quid to allow me to fill with hot water from the tap.
“I set the boiler temperature to 40 degrees and it takes about an hour to fill up.
“According to Smart Meter it cost me £0.70p to fill, we are on water rates so there is no extra cost to fill.”
She continued: “When I’m not using it, I set it to 35 degrees, and turn it down to 39 a few hours before I plan to use it.
“It costs around £3-4 a day when I don’t use it and £5-6 a day when I use it.”
The running cost is the only thing you should keep in mind when making a big purchase like a hot tub.
You should always make sure to shop around for better deals and check if there are voucher codes or cashback offers that could make you more money.
