‘Boxing is super f***** up’, says Logan Paul
Logan Paul called boxing a “super f***** up” after the scorecard of Canelo Alvarez’s defeat, before brother Jake called for boxing to change the system, writes Joshua Jones,
Bivol won by unanimous points decision as all three judges scored it 115–113.
But despite dominating most of the fight, Tim Cheetham, Dave Moretti and Steven Weisfeld defeated the winner of the 12th and final round 105–104.
This means that if lvarez had tried hard enough to overtake the final round, he would have somehow avoided an undesirable draw – a trio of judges placed him first, second, third, fourth and ninth.
And YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan was absolutely furious when he uncovered the questionable scoring.
The American tweeted: “Canelo was unquestionably outboxed and his opponent still only won seven rounds (according to the scorecard).
“Boxing is naturally super f***** up,
Gimmicks aside, that’s why I’m so excited at @jakepaul and the solution I’m trying to implement for fighter pay and scoring.
“It’s time for change.”
