Georgia tax refund: Still haven’t seen your tax rebate? More are being sent out soon

ATHENS — Your state tax refund has still not arrived? The state promises to send out more soon.

The majority of Georgians would receive up to $250 for single filers, $375 for heads of household, or $500 for married couples filing jointly, according to a March announcement by Governor Brian Kemp.

More than 2.5 million refunds have been given out thus far. That indicates that 90% of them have already been distributed.

In May, the special reimbursements became available. The state promises to send out more by the end of the month.

The governor’s office says that if you haven’t received the rebate, it’s likely that you are ineligible or that those who did receive refunds by direct deposit were unaware of them in their accounts.
