What are my rights if my order does not come?

Shoppers are being advised to consider ordering elsewhere at Missguided while things are still up in the air.

Andrew Hager, a personal finance specialist at MoneyComes, said: “There is no point in ordering right now, even if the website is still up and running,” he said.

“The risk just isn’t worth it, no matter what discounts are being offered.”

If you placed an order with a store that goes to administration, you’ll be placed in a line of creditors that owed money from the business.

But the list would also include lenders and major suppliers, and everyone would have to pay back any money left in the business.

Hager said: “In cases like this it is often unlikely that orders from retail customers will be honored, as administrators – by law – must first pay what money is left (if any) to secured creditors – i.e. lenders or major suppliers.”
