A stunning wooden beach cottage has gone on sale for a bargain price of £85k – the new owner is getting incredible views of the coast.
But there’s a twist for the lucky new homeowner that beats the rest of the market for cabins.
Although they will be able to lease the cabin for at least the next 36 years, they will not own the sand dune on which it stands because it is a property of the National Trust.
Estate agents say the simple wooden structure is one of the best spots in the North East on the sand in Newton-by-the-Sea.
This is a very popular sailing and windsurfing destination in Northumberland.
The cottage overlooks a long stretch of golden sand in the Embleton Bay Coastal Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

It also has the dramatic ruins of the 14th-century Dunstenburg Castle as a backdrop.
It is a dream come true for nature lovers as the beaches and dunes are the habitat of a wealth of wildlife during seals.
The cottage measures 9 feet by 15 feet, includes a nearby parking lot, and is within walking distance of a local pub.
The property is being sold as a lease-hold, as the sand is owned by the National Trust and for 36 years out of the remaining 50.
Alnwick-based estate agent John F White said: “It’s the perfect place to get away from it all with sandy beaches.
“You also have the beautiful village of Newton-by-the-Sea and nearby the popular pubs The Joiner’s Arms and The Ship Inn.”

The small fishing village is now almost entirely owned by the National Trust.
Parking is severely restricted and the average home costs more than half a million.
