Manchester United have announced that Ralph Rangnick will no longer be a consultant for next season.
“We would like to thank Ralph Rangnick for his efforts over the past six months as interim manager,” it said in a statement.
“By mutual consent, Ralf will now focus solely on his new role as manager of the Austria national team and therefore will not play a consulting role at Old Trafford.
“We would like to wish Ralph the best of luck in this next chapter in his career.”
Meanwhile, United are on the verge of making a new bid for Reuben Neves, SunSport could reveal.
The Wolves man is set to choose between United and Barcelona this summer, with the West Midlands club already in line for a replacement.
And United are also looking to pursue the signing of Barcelona player Frankie de Jong.
