Tips from Templegate
Ahead of tomorrow’s racing at Royal Ascot our man has given his suggestions.
Wallbank (2.30 Ascot, nap)
He couldn’t have been more impressive, winning by seven lengths at York last month. You don’t see many five-furlong sprints by that kind of a big margin and he’s able to take another big step forward for owner Kia Jourabachian on his third run.
Stradivarius (4.20 Ascot, NB)
He can register four impressive victories in the Ascot Gold Cup. On his return last month, he registered the 20th victory of his illustrious career by winning the Yorkshire Cup for the third time. He somehow went on to answer the question of being too far from the hill. We know he loves the journey and the track and that John Gosden will prepare him for the final big day of his career under Frankie.
Montsib (6.10 Ascot, Triple)
He made a great effort when he won the Goodwood Handicap last time. It was a good performance in itself to win by about three lengths but he had trouble running before he could get up firmly.
