Scotland vs Ukraine: TV channel, live stream, teams and kick-off time

good evening from glasgow

Welcome to SunSport’s live coverage of the World Cup play-off semi-final between Scotland and Ukraine at Hampden Park.

It promises to be an intense and emotional encounter that sees the Ukraine national team officially returning to action for the first time since the unjust and illegal invasion of Russia.

The match was initially scheduled to take place in March, but the battle was delayed and the date was moved to summer.

Oleksandr Petrakov’s men have spent the past month training in Slovenia and being friendly in Germany, Italy and Croatia.

Ukraine’s home players have not featured in any competitive matches since December as the war began during their winter shutdown in February.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Andrey Lunin was the last player to join the squad after last weekend’s Champions League final in France.

Manager Petrakov is expected to include big names in his starting line-up, such as Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko, Everton’s Vitaly Mykolenko and former West Ham ace Andrey Yarmolenko.

No fresh injury worries as the visitors go into the competition which will see them fight for all their loved ones.

Scotland manager Steve Clarke, on the other hand, will be without Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney and Rangers’ Ryan Jack, who are out with knee and shin injuries respectively.

Everton’s Nathan Patterson was also sidelined as he failed to recover in time from an ankle operation.

However, Liverpool star Andy Robertson is expected to start just four days after a losing effort in the Champions League final and Manchester United’s Scott McTominay expects the same.
