At first glance, the Lively pad appears to be fairly ordinary with a fancy flair of its own.

The charming two-bed one on Rightmove is a cozy cottage and features decorative fireplaces and low ceilings.

Home hunters were attracted by the colorful decor in the property, which featured quirky ornaments and a flamingo-themed dining room.

Opposite features manage to extend the open plan living area, which leads to a lobby.

The hallway leads you into a sunken courtyard garden, which looks like the perfect place to relax in the sun.

With the loft converted into a bedroom, a generous master, office space and convenient kitchen, the home looks ideal for a couple.

But eagle-eyed buyers refused to be distracted by the flamboyant furnishings and noticed something very strange.

On a couch in the living room, it seems that something – or someone – is lurking under a yellow blanket.

The bizarre disguised look gave rise to speculation that there was some sinister sculling under the throw, thanks to some big bumps going through it.

But others managed to see the funny side of the seemingly poorly hidden object on the couch.

One person said: “Okay, is someone keeping kip on that couch?”

Another joked: “Or is it a body.”

While the third shouted: “My sister really asks. Is it haunted?”

But a house hunter made a more sensible suggestion: “Ironing pile or something out of sight.”

The listing for the Essex pad reads: “In front of the property, outside the street for one vehicle, with the remainder of the front garden with shrubs, flowers and trees.

“Paved back garden with wooden fence and raised planting areas for borders.”
