touch and go
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has taken a dig at Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund by revealing his unique bond with Blues supporters.
Tuchel said: “It’s great to have this bond with the fans. I wasn’t famous for it in my previous clubs. I don’t know why it’s like this all of a sudden, but I’m very happy with it.
“This game is a different sport with fans, we have always said that. This is a different game.
“If the stadium is empty, half empty or full, we need the whole stadium, it makes the game exciting, emotional.
“It creates something you can’t have without them. We’re doing this to entertain, to please our fans.
“We are responsible for the spark, the energy, and we want to provide a level of energy that they can feel.
“If you go to the stadium you will” [want to] Feel that this team is giving everything, not just employees, but playing as a group of friends.
“That’s the challenge. Once we do that the fans are happy and they feel it. That’s where we want to continue.”
