Jarrod Bowen reacts

Speaking to BT Sport, Bowen said:

“When we were 1-1 we had a chance to score another goal, but it didn’t happen.

“They’re a top side, we’re disappointed – we hit the bar, we hit the post.

“We didn’t want to lose at home, but we’ve shown that we can go far and get results, so it’s about doing that.

“It’s not what you want to do, concede a goal, but the reaction of the fans and we are back in the game, we dominated and created chances even a goal down.

“They’re a good team and they scored two good goals.”

“I thought I had scored first and it hit the post and at the end I thought just hit it and see what happens. Unfortunately it didn’t go through but still loads of confidence in this group Is.

“Antonio’s hold-up play is excellent. It’s terrible to play against him and tonight’s goal is to give him some confidence.

“We are way behind. We have to face the fact that we have to go out there and win and that’s what we will try to do.”
