Hammer signs young Dan Riegge
West Ham have toppled several Premier League rivals to sign Manchester City youngster Dan Rigg, writes jack rosser,
The Hammers have agreed a three-year deal with the 16-year-old midfielder, ahead of several other Premier League clubs.
Liverpool had offered Rigg a trial with their academy sides, but the youngster instead opted to take a firm offer from West Ham, while Wolves and Leicester City were also in the mix.
East Londoners have been tracking the rig for some time.
The midfielder played a few games on trial for the Hammers in January, with Manchester City’s blessing, before returning to watch the north side’s season.
Now the campaign is derailed, clearing the way for a deal to bring him to the capital.
Ridge is seen as a bright prospect at West Ham and will go on to work with their academy sides from next season.
